TBILISI: The notable Georgian film director, scriptwriter and actress Nana Djordjadze is currently in production with her feature film Forced Migration of the Butterflies. The first shoot of the four-season film took place from 27 August to 2 September 2020, and the next one lasted from 25 September to 6 October. The filming is scheduled to continue in winter, spring and summer sessions. The project is funded by the GNFC and produced by Jana Sardlishvili through Studio 99.

TBILISI: Georgian film director Nika Tsiklauri is currently in production with his long documentary The Five Views of the Caucasus, a 90 minute documentary film on the topics of culture, science, conservation and human stories.

TBILISI: The Georgian National Film Center distributed 17, 082 EUR / 64, 061 GEL for the production of five short animations to be directed by Mamuka Tkeshelashvili, Lili Dadiani, Paata Shengelia, Tamta Managadze and Irine Gelashvili.

TBILISI: Georgian director Tornike Bziava is currently completing production on his long documentary Higher up is Tazo. The first shoot took place in Tbilisi in August 2017. The project is funded by the GNFC and the producer/cinematographer is Elia Pharsadanishvili. Filming is in the final stages and the premiere of the film is expected in 2021.

TBILISI: Georgian director Alexander Koridze is currently in production with his long documentary Atonal Glow. The first shoot started in Tbilisi in July 2019. The project is funded by the GNFC and Koridze himself is the producer. The filming is underway and the premiere of the film is expected in 2021.

TBILISI: The 8th edition of CinéDOC-Tbilisi, which started on 30 August 2020, ended with the announcement of the winning films on 30 September. The festival is organised by the Noosfera Foundation.

KUTAISI: Fifteen films have been selected for the main competition of the inaugural edition of the Kutaisi International Short Film Festival, which will take place from 3 to 7 November 2020. The partners of the festival are the Georgian National Film Center and the Kutaisi Municipality.

TBILISI: Georgian director Ekaterine (Keko) Chelidze is currently in pre-production with her first feature fiction film No More. The shooting is planned for the spring of 2021. The project was first presented internationally at the Budapest Debut Film Forum in September 2020.

TBILISI: Georgian director Akaki Shanshiashvili is currently in preproduction with the feature film Winter's Sorrow, based on the novels of famous Georgian writer Revaz Inanishvili. The film is produced by Vako Kirkitadze and Nikoloz Gugushvili through Film Asylum.
