Cyprus Film Days Open Call

    The Cyprus Film Days Festival 2016 currently has an open call for submissions for the international competition section entitled Glocal Images which will feature fiction feature films from Cyrus and abroad.

    The Glocal Images section will award the following prizes:

    • Best Film Award, which will receive 6,000 EUROS
    • Special Jury Award, which will receive 3,000 EUROS
    • Best Director Award, which will receive 1,000 EUROS

    Films submitted must be a fiction feature, screened in Cyprus for the first time, they must be a 2015 or 2016 production, be available in either DCP and/ or 35 mm print, and have a running time of more than 60 minutes.

    Entry forms can be found online at http://cyprusfilmdays.com/index.php/call-for-submissions/online-application-english. Forms must be printed, signed and sent to Rialto Theatre, Cyprus Film Days – Submission, P.O.Box 50332, 3603 Limassol, together with two region free DVD screeners with English subtitles and the submission fee of 10 EUROS.

    Applications must be sent by 8 February and the festival will take place on 15 until 24 April, 2016.

    The festival will also include a Cypriot Films Competition section, which will award a Best Cypriot Film Award and a Best Cypriot Director Award.

    Cyprus Film Days is an official international film festival that is organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Rialto Theatre. This is the sixth consecutive year that the international competition is running.
