30 days left for the Astra Film Festival film submissions

    The 26th edition of Astra Film Festival, the most important event dedicated to non-fiction cinema in Romania, held from October 14th-20th, 2019, awaits its film submissions in the competition sections of AFF 2019, the deadline for submitting entries being March 25th. Nonfiction film professionals have 4 weeks to complete the sign-up process.

    As with its previous editions, Astra Film Festival encourages documentary productions with a strong personal touch from a thematic and / or form point of view, creative documentaries and author films, based on the artistic achievement and honesty of the themes approach.

    Only documentary productions of a minimum of 40 minutes (at least 15 minutes for the Docschool section) with copyrights registered in 2018 and 2019 can be included in the competition. Films accepted in sections outside the official competition are not required to comply with this condition.

    Produced entries must be in the final version for distribution, with English subtitles if the film is spoken in another language. The preview version must be password protected and the movie download link must remain valid for the duration of AFF. The video materials are kept in the Astra Film Festival archive only for documentary purposes and for consultation by professionals exclusively in the AFF physical space.

    Once the online sign-up process is complete, authors and / or film rights holders can no longer withdraw their submitted material.
