"THE COMPLEX FORMS" is an independent Italian sci-fi/horror film that has already received awards at international festivals such as Slamdance, Fantasporto, the Torino Film Festival, and the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival.
Set in a timeless villa, the film tells the story of three strangers who, in exchange for money, agree to sell their bodies to mysterious entities. The film is shot entirely in elegant black and white, with a refined visual language and a strongly symbolic and metaphysical tone.
Fabio D’Orta oversaw every creative aspect of the film: direction, screenplay, cinematography, editing, production design, and visual effects. Critics have highlighted the project's visual power and radical, authorial approach.
