PÖFF GOES TO CANNES CALLS FOR PROJECTS

For the sixth year in a row, Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) joins forces with the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes to spotlight outstanding international feature films in post-production at the PÖFF Goes to Cannes showcase.
This curated presentation offers filmmakers a unique chance to introduce their projects to leading sales agents, distributors, and festival programmers from around the world.
The deadline for submissions is February 20, 2026.
JOIN THE NEW EXECUTIVE TRAINING PROGRAMME "MASTERING AI FOR EUROPEAN FILM PROFESSSIONALS"

Three industry forerunners – the National Film School of Denmark, Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event, and FilmForward – have launched Mastering AI for European Film Professionals (MAIEFP), a new annual executive programme focused on human-first AI leadership for Europe’s film decision-makers.
Running from April to November 2026, MAIEFP offers a 142-hour curriculum combining on-site sessions in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Tallinn with two intensive online weekend modules. The programme is designed for experienced producers, directors, executives, and production or post-production professionals ready to lead organisational change with AI.
Applications close on February 18, 2026.
SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT TO EUROPEAN GENRE FORUM!

The call for The European Genre Forum (EGF), a six-month training cycle for emerging European genre filmmakers, has opened its submissions
EGF is designed for European directors (first or second feature) and their teams developing genre films—horror, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, dark thrillers, dark comedies, mystery, adventure, and martial arts. Genre-focused documentaries may also be considered.
The programme features three talent labs from July to November, helping genre film projects grow artistically, commercially, and in audience appeal.
Last date for submissions: 15 March 2026
The European Genre Forum is a collaboration between the Imagine Fantastic Film Festival in Amsterdam, Fantastic Zagreb Film Festival, and the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn. Now in its 12th year, it has 88 genre film projects under its belt.
