For the sixth time, PÖFF and Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event will present a curated selection of five standout film projects at the prestigious Goes to Cannes showcase.
Over the year PÖFF Goes to Cannes has served as a launchpad for emerging voices in global cinema This year's lineup brings together projects in various stages of post-production, distinguished by their diversity, bold cinematic language, and rich cultural perspectives from Estonia, Spain, Luxemburg and Neatherlands.

PÖFF to Host World Congress of Science & Factual Producers in November
As part of PÖFF 30th anniversary celebrations, we are very excited to host the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) from 9–12 November 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia.
WCSFP is the leading international forum for science, history, and factual storytelling across platforms. Each year, it brings together nearly 600 professionals from over 30 countries – including producers, broadcasters, commissioners, distributors, streamers, scientists, and digital creators – to exchange ideas, explore emerging editorial and market trends, and celebrate excellence in factual programming.
The event attracts key decision-makers from organizations such as National Geographic, BBC Studios, Discovery, PBS, NHK, France Télévisions, Netflix, CuriosityStream, TikTok, YouTube, and Ubisoft.
The 21st Haapsalu Horror & Fantasy Film Festival showcases 35 feature-length films from 25 countries!
The 21st Haapsalu Horror & Fantasy Film Festival - HÕFF -, the Baltics’ leading genre celebration, has revealed its full 2026 programme.
From April 30 to May 2, Haapsalu will once again slip into darkness, as 35 feature films from 25 countries take over the screens—featuring striking titles from New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Kazakhstan, alongside curated shorts and special events.
The festival opens with Finnish director Hanna Bergholm’s psychological horror-thriller Nightborn, with screenwriter Ilja Rautsi introducing the film.
Open Call: Virtual Production and AI Atelier for Independent Producers
Applications are now open for the Virtual Production and AI Atelier for Independent Producers, returning for its second edition on 5–7 June 2026 in Warsaw. The workshop will take place in collaboration with ATM Virtual, one of Poland’s leading studios for real-time production.
This in-depth workshop is designed to equip independent filmmakers and audiovisual professionals with practical, hands-on knowledge of virtual and real-time production, a technology that is rapidly transforming the film and TV industry.
