FESTIVALS: Pula Completes National Film Competition Line-up

    {mosimage}PULA:  Three films have been added to the eight previously announced films to be screened in the national programme of the 59th Pula Film Festival (www.pulafilmfestival.hr), which takes place during the second week of the festival running from 14-28 July 2012.

    {mosimage}The three added films included two independent productions, A Letter to My Dad directed by documentary and avant-garde filmmaker Damir Čučić and Hives, an omnibus film by student directors including one each from the Croatian Acadamy of Dramatic Arts and Prague's FAMU (www.famu.cz). The last film is Accidental Passer-by, the directing debut by the prolific Croatian independent producer Jozo Patljak,

    Two minority coproductions (Serbia/Croatia) will also be screened: A Practical Guide to Belgrade with Singing and Crying by Bojan Vuletić, co-produced by Kinorama from Croatia, and local box office hit Parade by Srđan Dragojević, co-produced by Mainframe (www.mainframeproduction.com). The festival will also host a special screening of the Cannes award-winning documentary Sofia's Last Ambulance (www.nukleus-film.hr) directed by Ilian Metev.

    {mosimage}The national programme opens on 21 July with Sonja and the Bull directed by Vlatka Vorkapic.
