Hungary Announces Features Grants

    BUDAPEST: The Hungarian National Film Fund  has allotted production grants of approximately 11.5 m EUR for five feature films. Most of the funding went to Gabor Herendi's period romantic drama Kincsem.

    Gabor Herendi's film received approximately 7m EUR. The film is produced by Caffe Communications in coproduction with Sky Film. Gas Station (KMH Film) by Attila Gigor received approximately 1.1 m EUR, the same as Brazilians (M&M Film), Csaba M. Kiss' debut feature, co-directed by Gabor Rohonyi.

    1945 (Katapult Film) by Ferenc Torok received approximately 1 m EUR, the same as Cojote (Megafilm) Mark Kostyal's debut feature.

    Kincsem is currently shooting in Hungary and stars Erwin Nagy and Andrea Petrik.
