TV: Georgia Wins Junior Eurovision Competition

    The young Georgian group Candy won the 9th Eurovision Junior competition, an annual contest for members of the European Broadcasting Union, taking 103 points for the song Candy Music.

    Countries from Central and Eastern Europe dominated the finals. Among the 12 runners-up were contestants from Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Latvia.

    The EBU (www.ebu.ch) serves 85 national media organizations in 56 countries in and around Europe. The first Junior Eurovision contest was held in 2003.
