Kastelicova to Head up HBO Documentaries

    BUDAPEST: HBO Europe (www.hbo-europe.com) announced the appointment of Hanka Kastelicova to the new position of Executive Producer, Documentaries.

    Kastelicova will be based in HBO's Budapest office in charge of HBO Europe's documentary production out of its offices in Warsaw, Prague and Bucharest.

    She is a documentary film-maker herself, who worked at TV Slovenia (www.rtvslo.si) where producing award-winning documentaries and most recently was head of Documentary Development and Commissioning Editor.

    She was also the Slovenian national coordinator for INPUT, the international organisation of TV professionals, and a member of the editorial board for documentaries at the Slovenian Film Fund (www.film-sklad.si) in 2011.

    Speaking of Kastelicova's appointment, Antony Root, EVP Original Programming and Production, HBO Europe, said in a statement, "Her strong editorial, managerial and production skills, together with her enviable reputation and contacts, both locally and internationally, will be a huge asset as we take our documentary output to the next level."

    HBO Europe provides basic and premium channels to 15 countries: Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
