Box, previously known as Through My Veins, is a love story involving a 20-year-old boxer and a more mature actress who is married with a child. Şerban, who wrote the script, is producing with his company Fantascope in co-production with the German company Augenschein Filmproduktion.

The budget is approximately 1 m EUR. The project received a grant of 194,252 EUR (845,000 RON) from the National Centre for Cinema in November 2011, and 200,000 EUR from Film und Medien Stiftung NRW, plus 220,000 EUR from Eurimages.

Şerban will use professional and non-professional performers chosen from his acting school, Şcoala de Actorie, but has declined to disclose the cast. Marius Panduru (If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle) is DoP. Exterior shoots will take place mainly in Sibiu. Production will wrap in September but a premiere date is not yet set.
