IPTV to top 5 million in Central Europe by 2013

By FNE Staff

IPTV is on target to reach 1 million subscribers across Central and Eastern Europe this year, reaching 5.2 million by 2013.

According to IPTV Watch, the strong emergence of IPTV is enabled by the slow upgrading of some cable networks. The growth is greatest in Russia, but is also making strides in Estonia, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

A forum on the topic is scheduled for October 20-21 in Budapest, Informa Telecoms & Media's IPV Central and Eastern Europe Forum (www.iptv-easterneurope.com).
