The story follows Petru, a drilling engineer living in an isolated community of oil industry workers. His apparently quiet life is turned upside down by his girlfriend's pregnancy. Despite his reluctance, he proposes marriage. But trying to do the right thing is not necessarily enough to put one's life in order. Sometimes chaos ensues.
Hadrian Marcu wrote the script. The acclaimed DoP Adrian Silişteanu will shoot and produce together with Anamaria Antoci through 4Proof Film. The budget is 700,000 EUR, of which 250,000 EUR are already in place, Anamaria Antoci told FNE. The project received a debut feature production grant of 224,408 EUR/997,000 RON from the National Film Center (CNC) in March 2015.
The film is expected to be finished end of 2016 with the premiere set for spring 2017. There is no sales agent attached to the project yet.
