Slovak/Czech Mini-series Rights Sold to Ben Affleck‘s and Matt Damon’s Pearl Street Film

    BRATISLAVA: The rights to Peter Bebjak’s three-episode mini-series Justice / Spravedlnost were sold to the American production company Pearl Street Film owned by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The series produced by Slovakia‘s DNA Production in coproduction with the Czech Television premiered on the Czech Television in 2017.

    The story penned by Peter Bebjak and Tomáš Bombík follows the police officer Richard, whose 20-year old daughter kills her lover in self-defense. As Richard decides to cover her, a body is found and the murder case is passed to Richard’s team. 

    The mini-series stars the renowned Czech actors Ondřej Vetchý, Martin Finger and Elizaveta Maximová.

    Justice was awarded best TV film or mini-series at the 2018 Czech Lions on 10 March 2018.

    The first episode of Justice was introduced at FIPA – the International Festival of Audiovisual Programmes in 2017.

    Currently DNA Production preps for the Slovak private channel JOJ the mini-series Crack / Trhlina, based on the work of the Slovak writer Jozef Karika.
