Adana Golden Boll FF: Love Me

    Veteran Turkish director Ali Ozgenturk's latest film Love Me (Gorunmeyen) competed in the Turkish national competition section of the Golden Boll Film Festival in Adana (17-25 September 2011, www.goldenbollfilmfestival.com). The film had its world premiere at the Istanbul Film Festival. under the title Unseen.

    {mosimage}The film was shot in September of 2010 on Aegean side of Turkey. It is one of 54 projects realized as part of the Istanbul Europe Capital project. Love Me was produced by Ozgenturk's own company, Asya Film.

    Ozgenturk is one of the important figures of Turkish cinema's 80's generation. He received the ‘Best New Director Award' for his film Hazal in San Sebastian Film Festival in 1980, and also had several awards for his film Horse (At).

    Love Me is about the Hungarian composer Bela Bartok, who visited Turkey in 1936. Bartok is portrayed by German cult actor Udo Kier. The cast also includes Turkish veteran actors Halil Ergun and Ahmet Mekin. The film's songs were recorded by three popular Turkish singers, Sezen Aksu, Kubat and Sebnem Ferah.
