SOFIA: The Belgian/Dutch/Bulgarian dramatic comedy Kebab Royal by Jessica Woodworth and Peter Brosens entered postproduction.

WARSAW: Marcin Krzyształowicz is working on Krakau, a WWII crime series set in 1944 Berlin and occupied Warsaw.

KRAKOW: Janusz Hryniak is directing a drama about the life and work of internationally renowned Polish theatre director Taduesz Kantor, with Borys Szyc in the lead role.

BRATISLAVA: Jan Hřebejk started shooting on a new feature film The Teacher on 8 August 2015. The premiere is planned for autumn 2016.

PRAGUE: Radek Bajgar's Czech-Slovak comedy The Theory of Tiger, starring Jiří Bartoska, started shooting this week. Shooting will continue until 15 September 2015. 

BUCHAREST: Nat Geo People will be launched in Romania by Telekom on 1 September 2015. Romania is the first Eastern European country where it will be launched after Denmark, Germany, Italy and Turkey.

BRATISLAVA: Iveta Grófová has begun filming her second feature, a Slovak/Czech/Hungarian coproduction entitled She Is a Harbour. 

RIGA: Award-winning animator Edmunds Jansons is working on his new short film Pigtail and Mr. Sleeplessness / Bize un Neguļa about a six year old girl known as Pigtail who together with her shaggy friend from her closet Mr. Sleeplessness, come up with a “brilliant” plan to return her baby brother Leo to the amusement park where they believe he was bought. 

LJUBLJANA: Award-winning Slovenian director Metod Pevec is completing work on his feature documentary Home (Dom) produced by Danijel Hocevar for Vertigo and supported by the Slovenian Film Center.

WARSAW: CANAL+ Poland has commissioned a 10-episode crime series entitled Belfer (Teacher) starring Maciej Stuhr. TVN is executive producing the series.

SOFIA: Award-winning director Peter Popzlatev is completing shooting on his new feature film Wreckage. 

BRATISLAVA: Czech New Wave director Jan Němec is in preproduction with his autobiographical filmThe Wolf of Royal Vineyard Street.

MARIBOR: Documentary feature film Partisan Priest has finished shooting and is ready for its cinema and television premiere in autumn 2015 following the opening night at the Slovenian Film Festival in Portoroz.

PRAGUE: The Czech debut Fish Blood/Rybí krev is currently in development. It is directed and written by Ondrej Provaznik and produced by Jakub Mahler and Tomas Michalek for the production company MasterFilm.

SOFIA: Award-winning director Iglika Triffonova is in postproduction with her new film Lift for Patients, a modern psychological drama. Written by Triffonova herself, the script was rated first at the session for low budget films set up by the National Film Centre last year. 

PRAGUE: Petr Vaclavis in postproduction with his latest film, the Czech/French coproduction We Are Never Alone/Nikdy Najsme Sami.
