PIEŠŤANY: Ten films have been selected for Meeting Point Europe, the main competition of the 13th Cinematik IFF, which will take place in the spa city of Piešťany from 11 to 16 September 2018.

BATUMI: Ten titles have been selected for the Feature Film Competition of the 13th Batumi International Arthouse Film Festival set to take place in Batumi from 16 to 23 September 2018. The festival also organises a competition for documentaries.

VILNIUS: A restored 1969 classic The Beauty by the Lithuanian director Arūnas Žebriūnas was released in French cinemas on 22 August 2018. This is the first time that a Lithuanian classic film runs in multiple cinemas outside the country.

XIII Batumi International Art-house Film Festival will be held in Batumi during September 16-23 September, 2018, closed film submission on 5 August.  Festival organizer is “Batumi Art-house ARGANI”, official partner – Batumi City Hall.

BRATISLAVA: Zuzana Bieliková was appointed Head of the newly established Slovak Film Commission (SFC) on 1 June 2018. She spoke to FNE about her goals and her short-term plans, as well as the incentive scheme operating since 2015.

SEVILLE: Eighteen films from CEE are among the 49 films chosen for the EFA Feature Film Selection. The nominations for the 2018 EFA Awards will be announced at the Seville European Film Festival on 10 November 2018, while the 31st European Film Awards will take place in Seville on 15 December 2018.
