TALLINN: The Estonian Film Institute (EFI) is launching its first annual Estonian Film Month in April 2026, a celebration of domestic cinema through screenings, awards and educational programmes.

BUDAPEST: Hungary’s capital city is standing in for Moldovan capital city Chișinău in the second season of the thriller series The Day of the Jackal. The show starring Eddie Redmayne returns to Budapest after S1 shot in 2023.

LILLE: Nine countries including Georgia, Malta, Montenegro, and Poland have signed the new Council of Europe Convention on the co-production of audiovisual works in the form of series at the Series Mania Forum in Lille. This is the first international legal framework dedicated to the independent coproduction of television and streaming series

VALLETTA: Malta and Gozo registered a total of 10,882 admissions for domestic films, mostly short films, compared to 8,279 admissions in 2024 and 4,884 admissions in 2023.

TALLINN Tõnis Pill’s coming-of-age drama Fränk finished second in the admissions Top Ten 2025 in Estonia with 112,104 admissions, while Estonian films accounted for 14 percent of the total attendance in 2025.

STRASBOURG:  Eighteen projects produced or coproduced by FNE partner countries received Eurimages co-production support in the first batch of 2026.
