PRAGUE: The television group Central European Media Enterprises reported a 3% rise in revenues at actual rates, or 4% at constant rates, to 123.5 M USD for the third quarter of 2018, ending 30 September. The nine-month results show a 12% rise in revenues at actual rates, or 3% at constant rates, to 422.3 M USD.

TALLINN: The British distributor Videoplugger has sold the high-end Estonian drama series The Bank / PANK to MHz Networks to air in North America in Estonian with English subtitles.
TETOVO: Stephan Komandarev’s feature film Directions won the Best Film award of the Balkan competition at the 7th Tetova IFF ODA, which was held in the northwestern Macedonian city flanked by scenic mountains.
ZAGREB: The Belgian/Dutch/Bulgarian/Croatian coproduction The Barefoot Emperor / Bosonogi car completed filming in Croatia on 15 October.
WARSAW: Stanisław Zaborowski from Silver Frame is representing Poland at Jihlava IDFF's Emerging Producers programme. FNE spoke with Zaborowski about the current situation for documentary filmmaking in Poland.
PRAGUE: Czech writer/director Stepan Altrichter is currently shooting the Czech/German coproduction National Street in Prague. The film is produced by Pavel Strnad and Petr Oukropec for Negativ.
SALONTA: Romanian director Marian Crișan is currently shooting his fourth feature film Berliner in his hometown of Salonta, in Northern Transylvania. Moldavian DoP Oleg Mutu, who shot Cristian Mungiu’s 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days and Beyond the Hills (Mobra Films), is lensing.
