WARSAW: Lucia Recalde Langarica has been announced as the new head of the Creative Europe MEDIA programme. She succeeds Xavier Troussard who stepped down at the end of June.  She will take up her post on 1 September 2014.

PRAGUE: Czech art house distribution company Artcam has acquired Corn Island, the grand prize winner of the Karlovy Vary film festival (KVIFF).

This year FNE and FIPRESCI invited film critics attending the attending the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival to rate the films in the Main Competition and the East of the West competition giving the films 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars.  

The Croatian Audiovisual Center (HAVC) anounced the results on 10 July 2014.

The Film New Europe Association is main networking platform of professionals in the Central and Eastern Europe and Baltic region. The FNE Association board is made up of the heads of the most important film institutions in the region.
