European Authors’ statement in support of the Copyright Directive

ZAGREB: The Croatian/Bosnian coproduction The Eighth Commissioner / Osmi povjerenik by Ivan Salaj has been selected as Croatia’s official entry for the US Academy Awards in the Foreign Language Film category. The decision has been made via a secret ballot by the Croatian Society of Film Workers (HDFD).

PRAGUE: Borg/McEnroe by Janus Metz, a coproduction between Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Czech Republic, is among the nine films nominated for the EFA People’s Choice Award 2018. The vote is now open for film audiences around Europe.

Every year, the EFA People’s Choice Award allows film fans across Europe to elect their favourite film. When the European Film Academy invites its members, Europe’s greatest film stars, directors, actors and actresses, to attend the European Film Awards, the People’s Choice Award sheds a spotlight on the people films are made for: the audience.
