TALLINN: Rainer Sarnet’s adult fairy-tale November has been unanimously chosen as the official candidate from Estonia for an Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences nomination in the Best Foreign Language Film category. The film is an Estonian/Polish/Dutch coproduction.
GDYNIA: Piotr Domalewski’s debut feature Silent Night will premiere at the 42nd Gdynia Film Festival (18-23 September 2017). This dark comedy will be domestically released by Forum Film in autumn 2017.

BERLIN: Cristian Mungiu’s contemporary drama Graduation is the only film from the CEE among the nine titles submitted for the EFA People's Choice Award 2017. The vote is open and the winner will be announced at the European Film Awards Ceremony set to take place in Berlin on 9 December 2017.
East Silver Caravan included three new films in its selection. They are the challenging film The World According to Daliborek by Vít Klusák, student film Jágr Republic by Ondřej Šálek and the Romanian/French existential documentary Tarzan’s Testicles by Alexandru Solomon.
