TALLINN: Two French films won the top awards at the 2020 Just Film festival of children's films, which was held under the banner of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Slalom by Charlène Favier won the Grand Prix from the international jury, and The Fantastic Journey of Margot & Marguerite directed by Pierre Coré won the Best Film Award from the children’s jury.

Feature film productions supported by the Polish Film Insitute in the 3rd session of 2020

LJUBLJANA: The Serbian short film Mud Chronicles by Vuk Palibrk won the ;DASF Audience Award and a prize of 1,000 EUR at the awards ceremony of the 17th edition of Animateka International Animated Film Festival on 6 December 2020. The festival took place in an online format.

This week True Story, a collaborative project between the Institute of Documentary Film and Film New Europe, speaks to Czech documentary maker Martin Pav, who speaks about his documentary Wolves at the Borders.

GDYNIA: The Hater by Polish director Jan Komasa, a cyber thriller and the follow up to his box office hit feature debut Suicide Room, screens in the main competition of the Gdynia Polish Film Festival, taking place online 8 – 12 December 2020.

The grand opening of the 17th edition of Animateka 2020 International Animated Film Festival will happen on Monday 30/11/2020, at 20:00.

After the festival opening, we invite you to our festival platform, to watch a special opening programme of animated shorts selected by this year’s international jury, plus an opening film selected by the festival team. The programme will be available after the opening ceremony.
