These are the results of the first session of the Macedonian-Italian coproduction development fund created by the Macedonian Film Agency and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage Activities and Tourism - Directorate General Cinema (DGC-MiBACT) in September 2015.

WARSAW: Behind The Blue Door / Za niebieskimi drzwiami by Mariusz Palej became the most successful Polish film for young viewers, with over 215,000 admissions. This adaptation of a Polish bestseller by Marcin Szczygielski is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

PRAGUE: Applications for the sixth East Doc Platform are expected until 15 February 2017. The largest documentary industry event of its kind will take place from 6 to 12 March 2017.

LOS ANGELES: Elle by Paul Verhoeven was awarded with the Golden Globe in the Foreign Language Film category, defeating Maren Ade’s Toni Erdmann, which was shot mainly in Romania with Hi Film Productions servicing and Ada Solomon executive producer. The 74th edition of the Golden Globes was held in Beverly Hills on 8 January 2017.

BUCHAREST: Ada Solomon from Romania’s HiFilm Productions talked to FNE about working as an executive producer for Toni Erdmann and the perspectives of international coproductions with Romania created by the buzz around Maren Ade’s film.

TRIESTE: Twenty two projects from 15 countries have been selected for the 7th edition of When East Meets West (WEMW). The coproduction forum will take place during the 28th Trieste Film Festival, from 22 to 24 January 2016.

KRAKOW: Films produced or coproduced by Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary received support at the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages Fund held in Krakow from 12 to 15 December 2016.

BERLIN: On Body and Soul by Ildiko Enyedi, Ana, mon amour by Călin Peter Netzer and Spoor by Agnieszka Holland are among the first ten titles selected for the Competition of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.

Nine documentary projects have been selected for the17th East European Forum that will take place within the East Doc Platform in Prague from 6 to 12 March 2017.
