TALLINN: Three Estonian films will have their domestic premieres in fall 2016. They include one Estonian/Polish/Dutch coproduction.

ZILINA: Slovakia is set for the opening of its third festival in three weeks, with Fest Anca scheduled to take place 29 June to 3 July.

TALLINN: The Finnish/Swedish/Estonian coproduction The Eternal Road directed by Antti-Jussi Annila has begun filming in Estonia.

The International Union of Cinemas (UNIC) 2015 annual report shows healthy increased cinema attendance across much of Central and Eastern Europe, with especially strong results in Poland, Estonia and the Czech Republic.

PRAGUE: The Czech company SEBRE has purchased a 20 percent stake in Serbia’s Avala Film Studio. The company said there are plans to invest as much as 10 m EUR into the studio in the next three – five years.
