FNE together with FIPRESCI will offer the ratings of all feature films in the official programme of Venice International Film Festival 2014 by FIPRESCI members attending the Festival.*

Three new countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, have signed agreements to participate in the EU’s Creative Europe programme.

UHERSKE HRADISTE: British director Peter Greenaway has received the prize of the Association of Czech Film Clubs (AČFK) at the 40th edition of the Summer Film School (LFS) running through 2 August 2014.

TBILISI: The Georgian National Film Fund (GNFC) has announced the winners of the competition for grants national development finance for animated short films. GNFC allotted 10,568EUR/25,000GEL for five out of six applicants.

MALTA: The Malta Court of Appeals has upheld an eviction order against the Mediterranean Film Studios according to local media reports. The decision will open the door for the use of the facilities for further development of the Maltese film industry

WARSAW: Lucia Recalde Langarica has been announced as the new head of the Creative Europe MEDIA programme. She succeeds Xavier Troussard who stepped down at the end of June.  She will take up her post on 1 September 2014.

The Film New Europe Coproduction Meeting brought together the representatives of regional film funds with producers and film professionals during the recent Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF).  FNE TV reports about this successful event.
