PORTOROŽ: Boštjan Slatenšek’s sophomore feature film A Dream / Privid will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). The film is the first coproduction between Slovenia and the Republic of Kosovo.

PORTOROŽ: The Slovenian/Croatian coproduction Every Good Story Is a Love Story by Matjaž Ivanišin and Rajko Grlić will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). This documentary follows the production of the theatre play Boris, Milena, Radko and the four well-known people involved in it: writer/director Dušan Jovanović, actress Milena Zupančić and actors Radko Polić and Boris Cavazza.

PORTOROŽ: Ksana by Dejan Babosek will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). Babosek’s second feature film is the story of two brothers who want to regain their lost childhood connection.

PORTOROŽ: The documentary The Last Ice Hunters / Zadnji ledeni lovci by Jure Breceljnik and Rožle Bregar will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). The main director of the film, Jure Breceljnik (41), died unexpectedly in 2015, while making this movie.

PORTOROŽ: Sly Foxes / Stekle lisice directed by Boris Jurjašević will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). The film stars the well-known film and theatre actor Jure Ivanušič.

PORTOROŽ: Maja Pavlin’s documentary Charlatan Magnifique / Charlatan Magnifique will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). The film tells the story of Magnifico, one of Slovenia’s most internationally renowned musicians, who has also appeared as an actor in a few films.

PORTOROŽ: The Slovenian/Croatian drama Ivan by Janez Burger will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). Maruša Majer, the Slovenian Shooting Star 2017, plays the lead role.

PORTOROŽ: Marko Naberšnik’s fourth feature film Slovenia, Australia and Tomorrow the World / Slovenija, Avstralija in jutri ves svet will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). Naberšnik gained his first success with the Slovenian box office national hit Rooster's Breakfast (2007, Arsmedia) and has been also active in television since 1999.

LJUBLJANA: The youth comedy Let Him Be a Basketball Player / Košarkar naj bo by Boris Petkovič will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). The film is crafted after the well-known book by Primož Suhadolčan, who also penned the screenplay.

PORTOROŽ: The Slovenian/Serbian drama The Basics of Killing / Družinica directed by the acclaimed Slovenian director Ian Cvitkovič, will be screened in the competition of the 20th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož (12-16 September 2017). The film got the best actress award for Irena Kovačevič at the Montreal World Film Festival (24 August – 4 September 2017).
