Transmedia storytelling at REGIOFUN

The concept of the Transmedia Storytelling was defined in 2006 by Henry Jenkins. The term means a “multithreaded and diverse story which is revealed across multiple media platforms, while each of the medium has its own separate contribution in creating and developing a fictional world”. In the film industry, this phenomenon has grown up naturally, however the ideas that come up raise much controversy among traditionalists. Despite that, the Transmedia Storytelling is becoming more common, and it seems that its growth cannot be stopped. We must learn how to take advantage of it…

Transmedia Storytelling is going to be one of the topics of the 4th International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN’s film industry conference. Robert Pratten, the creator of Transmedia Storyteller Ltd., film director, experienced businessman and the author of the book “Getting started in Transmedia Storytelling: a practical guide for beginners” will talk about the next forms of developing the transmedia projects. On 25th October in the Kosmos Cinema, Mr Pratten is going to present the examples of interference of the audience and the marketing with the film scenarios.
