Producers and directors are entitled to apply for the Works in Progress presentations with fiction, animation, or live-action animated film projects that will be in production or post-production by the time of the presentations. Just Film Works in Progress also welcomes feature-length documentaries aimed at children aged 7-13 and youth aged 14 and up. In addition, the project must not have an international sales agent attached.
Triin Tramberg, the Head of Work in Progress International, urges film professionals to send in their submissions. ”Tallinn with its well-known networking vibe is a perfect launchpad to send your project in motion for the new year. With sales agents and festival programmers already scouting for their 2026 lineup, this is the very well set stage to capture attention and momentum."
Kärt Väinola, who leads the children and youth film industry section Just Film Industry Days highlights that Just Film Works in Progress adds: ”For those of us working in the children and youth film industry, it’s never just about the market, it’s about finding the right hands and hearts to help a story take flight. In Tallinn, you feel that shared passion in every conversation.”
Projects will be presented on-site on November 20 and 21 in Tallinn. The audience of the Works in Progress consists mainly of professional buyers, festival programmers, film financiers, and sales agents. After the pitch, the projects will be available to watch online, providing access to a wide range of audiovisual industry professionals. The Just Film Works in Progress projects will be also available for viewing at Festival Scope.
The Best Projects in Baltic Event and International Works in Progress sections will receive an award by full-service sound post-production house Studio Beep, including 6000 euros worth of services by Studio Beep, together with a 1000 euros travel allowance.
