Cyprus Considers Film Incentives

By FNE Staff

Cyprus based filmmakers are encouaging film incentives for the island nation.

According to Cyprus Mail, Bavaria Pool executive Silvio Muraglia said production on European films could begin in three months, if the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture would adopt proposals for incentives.

Muraglia cited several advantages that he predicted could quickly grow the film industry in Cyprus, including language, climate, varied locations, ancient and modern architecture, and the small size of the country, along with its EU membership and currency in euros.
