Czechs digitalize their film heritage

    The Czech MEDIA Desk is hosting a panel on Digitalization of the Czech Film Heritage on April 21, as part of the Days of European Film festival,

    The two-hour panel discussion begins at 10 am in Evropský dům.

    The programme will include a proposal for digitization of the Czech film heritage written for the Ministry of Culture by the Working Group of the Film Council, and a discussion on digitalization of films in Slovakia. The panelists include Vladimir Opela, Pavel Strnad, Helena Frankova, Katerina Morvai, Tomas Baldynsky, Richar Nemec, and Vit Komrzy.

    The films under consideration cover the period 1898- 1993. The project is estimated to take four years and CZK 500 million.
