Czech actor Vladimir Dlouhy dies

    Czech film and theatre actor Vladimir Dlouhy died after a short illness at age 52. Dlouhy's final film was Kajinek, now in post-production.

    He debuted at age 12 in Jumping Over Puddles directed by Karel Kachyna, and appeared in over 70 film and television roles in a career that spanned four decades. Among his recent credits was My Husband's Women. He also appeared in Petr Zelenka's Buttoners (1997) and One Hand Can't Clap (2003) directed by David Ondricek.
