VALLETTA: Claudio Malaponti‘s E l’angelo partì da lei is the first result in Malta of the Euro Screen Interreg IVC, a project launched by the non-profit organization Fondazzjoni Temi Zammit together with European partners, in order to enhance collaboration between the film and the tourism sector.

According to the Maltese media quoting the Italian media, writer Pino Farinotti has sold the rights to his novel E l’angelo partì da lei to €-Sell, a Maltese company which, together with other groups, will produce the film. The budget is around 3.4m EUR. Farinotti wrote the script together with Claudio Malaponti. The film will star Luca Ward and the full cast will be completed soon.

The action of the film will be relocated from Milan to Malta due to the incentives provided by Malta Film Commission. Malta Tourism Authority is also supporting the production. The premiere is set for early 2016.
