Popular British Sitcom Birds of a Feather Shooting in Malta

VALLETTA: Popular British series Birds of a Feather is currently shooting in various locations in Malta as Malta Film Commission aims to establish a more consistent film industry with back-to-back productions throughout the year.

BAFTA award-winning director Martin Dennis is directing and the main characters are played by Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph. Birds of a Feather premiered on British television in 1989 and is followed now by almost eight million people.The sitctom ran on the BBC from 1989-1998 and was revived by ITV in 2014.

According to Malta Film Commission, there was an increase in the shooting of international TV productions in Malta in 2016. Netflix shot scenes for the popular series Sense8 just a few weeks ago.
