Divan Film Festival of Food and Love

    CRAIOVA: The 8th edition of Divan Film Festival, an unusual festival of good Balkan films and good food, is focused this year on the Balkan love. The festival takes place in the Romanian city of Craiova and in Port Cultural Cetate from 18 to 26 August 2017.

    A record number of 18 feature films will be screened within the festival, of which 15 will have their national premieres. The programme also includes documentaries and short films. Six of the feature films have women directors.

    The festival was initiated by the famous Romanian poet, public personality and chef Mircea Dinescu through his Fundația pentru Poezie Mircea Dinescu and is co-financed by Administrația Fondului Cultural Național (AFCN) with the support of the Craiova City Hall, the Romanian Film Centre (CNC), the Dolj Local County, the Romanian Filmmakers Union (UCIN) and the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR).
