By Iulia Blaga
Mix 2 Braşov has become the first TV channel to air a 3D show in Romania.

Mix 2 Braşov (site under construction) has been broadcasting a 30 minute weekly programme with original 3D material and sequences from other 3D productions, Alex Bucşa, technical manager of Mix Media Group told FNE.

The special glasses with blue and red lenses were first distributed together with a local newspaper edited by Mix Media Group, and now can be purchased in town for €1,10. Audiences have responded favorably to the specialty programme.

Based in city of Braşov, Mix Media Group has a portfolio of two TV channels (Mix 1 and 2), two radio stations (Radio Braşov and Super FM) and the newspaper Braşovul tău (www.brasovultau.ro).

The technical manager of Pro TV, Claudiu Paraschiv, said recently that the station will begin experimental transmissions on Pro TV 3D in 2010. Pro TV HD was launched within the HD package of UPC, at October 1, 2009. Pro TV was the first Romanian channel to broadcast in HD, in December 2006.
