BRATISLAVA:  Seven Ravens, a Czech-Slovak coproduction based on a classic fairy tale by Pavol Dobšinský, will start to shoot in July and August 2013 in western Slovakia.

The film, directed by Alice Nellis and produced by ATTACK Film (www.attackfilm.sk), tells the story of seven enchanted brothers and their youngest sister, who can turn the ravens back into humans by a self-sacrificing act.

The 2 m EUR budget received a grant of 380,000 EUR from the  Slovak Audiovisual Fund  (www.avf.sk).

“The scenario of the film is excellent and in the post-production period we will use a number of special effects. It is a big challenge for us. The fairytale genre is universal. We are now discussing potential co-production with Spain and Germany,” Katarína Vanžurová from ATTACK film told FNE.
