The Stranger is the debut film from female director Filiz Alpgezmen, a TV series screenwriter and theater director. The cast includes well known young actors Sezin Akbasogullari, Caner Cindoruk and Serkan Keskin.
The central character is Ozgur who has immigrated with her parents to Germany after a 1980 strike in Turkey. When she decided to return to her homeland after the death of her father, a complicated journey awaits her.
