Workshop for Films in Editing Phase

    Deadline: December 5, 2022

First Cut Lab Trieste is a consultancy programme designed for first and second feature films in the editing phase from one of the WEMW 2023 spotlight countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine & Spain, Portugal, Latin America**).
The selected teams (director/producer/editor) are offered a creative framework, both challenging and protective, where to open up new perspectives and to explore the whole artistic potential of their films. They screen their rough cut in a private session, and receive expert feedbacks from three international film industry advisors, as well as tailor-made advice from a consultant editor. Consultant and industry advisors will be defined according to the profiles of the film selected. Once the workshop is over, the participants receive a report & a roadmap that can serve as guidance for further editing. Eventually, the ambition of First Cut Lab is to enhance the audience opportunities of the films. More info at http://firstcutlab.eu/
Alongside the programmes targeting projects in development and post-production, WEMW 2023 will offer a rich and lively program including workshops and panels, as well as a series of initiatives dedicated to company planning & development such as the EAVE Slate and the Inspirational Labs.

More news will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
