Producers can still submit feature film projects in development (fiction only) for the cocoPITCH section until 16 July 2025 and projects in (post-)production for cocoWIP until 21 August 2025. All projects have to originate in or relate to wider Eastern Europe and be suitable for East-West co-production.
Producers, sales agents, commissioning editors and other industry representatives can apply to attend without a project until 2 October 2025.
The selected projects will compete for the following awards:
cocoPITCH (projects in development)
The industry audience will vote for the best public presentation of a project during the pitch session. The cocoPITCH Audience Award, a cash prize of €1.500, goes to the producer.
The Avanpost Award offered by the renowned Romanian post-production facility Avanpost, consists of in-kind services up to €15.000 towards post- production.
The Croatian Audiovisual Centre presents the HAVC Project Development Award, a €5.000 cash award towards the further development of one cocoPITCH project.
Three projects in development will receive the MIDPOINT Consulting Award, online script consultancy with a MIDPOINT expert.
The producer of one cocoPITCH project will receive the Producers Network Award, an accreditation to the Producers Network at the Marché du Film in Cannes the following year.
cocoWIP (works in progress)
The D-Facto Motion WIP Award consists of €35.000 in-kind services plus €1.000 granted for additional expenses and is sponsored by D-Facto Motion, the renowned post-production studio with branches in six major German cities and the latest high-end technology.
The Studio Beep Sound Post-Production Award, €6.000 in-kind services, is sponsored by the high-end studios based in the centre of Prague, covering the full spectrum of sound and music solutions.

Announced during our traditional East European Lunch at Karlovy Vary last week, our first selected cocoPITCH project is the cocoAWARD from the Midpoint Feature Launch: RADIOAMATEUR produced by Marta Szarzyńska (Watchout Studio, Poland), directed by Tomasz Habowski, who made his big-screen debut with the film SONGS ABOUT LOVE, often named by the press as the biggest Polish box office surprise of 2022.
The complete project selection will be announced by mid-September 2025 along with more details on the programme of our co-production market.
