Grimstad Short Film Nominee for the European Film Awards 2009

    The European Film Academy (EFA) and the Norwegian Short Film Festival Grimstad congratulate the

    Grimstad Short Film Nominee for the European Film Awards 2009

    BETWEEN DREAMS
    by Iris Olsson (France/Russia/Finland 2008, 11', documentary)

    The film is now nominated for the European Film Academy Short Film 2009 and was selected by the festival's international jury with the following statement:

    "This film touches upon the intangible and the unspoken. It takes us on a journey between two physical points and in that process goes into the deeper recesses of one's hopes and fears. Through a few individual stories the film reveals a subtle interplay between fate and the subconscious. The atmosphere and composition envelope the viewer in another universe."


    The short film initiative is organised by the European Film Academy in co-operation with a series of film festivals throughout Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a nomination in the short film category of the European Film Awards.

    The overall winner will be presented during the Awards Ceremony on 12 December in Germany's Ruhr Metropolis.

    BETWEEN DREAMS joins the following nominees:

    POSTE RESTANTE by Marcel Loszinski (Poland)

    The next nomination will be presented in co-operation with the International Film Festival Edinburgh.
