Romanian-German co-production nominated in EFA's short film category

    The European Film Academy (EFA) and the Curtas Vila do Conde Short Film Festival congratulate the

    Vila do Conde Short Film Nominee for the European Film Awards 2009

    The film is now nominated for the European Film Academy Short Film 2009 and was selected by the festival's international short film jury, consisting of film critic Carlos Reviriego, Maike Mia Höhne, curator of the Berlinale Shorts section, director Marco Martins, Olivier Père, new Artistic Director of the up-coming Locarno International Film Festival, and Portuguese artist Valter Hugo Mãe.

    The short film initiative is organised by the European Film Academy in co-operation with a series of film festivals throughout Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a nomination in the short film category of the European Film Awards.

    The overall winner will be presented during the Awards Ceremony on
    12 December in Germany's Ruhr Metropolis.

    SZKLANA PULAPKA (The Glass Trap) by Pawel Ferdek (Poland)
    POSTE RESTANTE by Marcel Loszinski (Poland),
    BETWEEN DREAMS by Iris Olsson (Finland), and
    PETER IN RADIOLAND by Johanna Wagner (UK).

    The next nomination will be presented in co-operation with the Sarajevo International Film Festival, Bosnia & Hercegovina.
