    As part of the 2nd Ex Oriente Film session, Polish filmmakers will be offered the following:

    • Project consultations and individual meetings with Europe's leading film professionals who are participating at the workshop as experts (commissioning editors - Channel 4, DR, YLE, etc. - established producers, distributors);

    • Networking

    • Ex Oriente Film lectures:

    Production Tour of Europe, an overview and in-depth analysis of European TV slots, CE's, funds and production companies;

    Legal Issues of International (Co-)production, a day-long session led by attorney-at-law and high-profile expert Dr. Stefan Rűll, Rüll Law Office, Germany;

    Distribution Strategies for Documentary Films, a session by experts from TV networks and independent sales companies; Lecture and consultations by Charlotte Gry Madsen - Sales and Acquisition, DR Medier, Internationalt salg, Denmark;

    Introduction into Budgeting, co-production with broadcasters, co-production budget involving multiple production companies, film budget in relation to financial plan, etc., by producer Helge Albers, Flying Moon Filmproduktion GmbH, Germany;

    New Ways of Commissioning, Lena Passanen (YLE, Finland) and Adam Gee (Channel 4, UK) will tell and show what they are doing in the field of documentary commissioning. A lecture concerning the possibilities these broadcasters create and what it means for producers and directors to think in the new ways of producing cross-media content and 360° TV programming.

    • Ex Oriente Film screenings:

    Czech Peace - international premiere and case study of the latest film by Filip Remunda and Vít Klusák, directors of the successful documentary Czech Dream;

    Polish DOX: Case study and screening of the two latest successful festival hits Rabbit à la Berlin by director Bartek Konopka and producer Anna Wydra, and Kites by director Beata Dzianowicz and producer Krzysztof Kopczyński; post-screening Q&A with the filmmakers.
