BRATISLAVA: Peter Kerekes Film production company, represented by producer/director Peter Kerekes (Cooking History, Velvet Terrorists), is developing the documentary Censors, which recieved a grant of 25,000 EUR from the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme.

WARSAW: Danish director Mads Matthiensen is filming on his second feature, a Danish-Polish coproduction entitled The Model.

PRAGUE: Slovenian producer Danijel Hocevar of Vertigo told FNE that he is coproducing a film on the legendary Czech director Frantisek Cap with the Czech company Evolution Films.

BRATISLAVA: In one of the more curious incidents in Slovak history, its capital Bratislava was once known as Wilson City and its multi-ethnic leaders lobbied to have it declared a free town unattached to any country. PubRes and FilmBrigade are now in postproduction with a crime comedy set in 1919 Wilson City.

WARSAW: Accomplished Polish DoP Bartosz Prokopowicz is making his feature directing debut with Chemo, a drama inspired by his wife's battle with cancer.

SARAJEVO: Bulgaria’s award-winning Iglika Trifoniva (Letter to America, Investigation) is in postproduction with her Hague Tribunal fiction False Witness, an ambitious coproduction between Bulgaria’s Klass Film , Holland’s Phanta Vision and Sweden’s Filmlance.

SOFIA: Milko Lazarov, whose minimalist, almost dialogue-free low budget debut film Alienation became Bulgaria’s 2013 creative surprise, is developing Nanook produced by his company Red Carpet.

VILNIUS: The Lithuanian/Polish/Norwgian docudrama The Man Who Knew 75 Languages from director Anne Magnussen and co-director Pawel Debski has gone into production.
