PRAGUE: On the occasion of the East Doc Platform in Prague, the KineDok project and its website will be officially launched on 6 March 2015.

At the opening ceremony of the International Film Festival Prague – Febiofest, the Kristian award for contribution to world cinema will not only be awarded to actress Kim Novak and Oscar-winning director Jean-Jacques Annaud, but also to one of today’s best British actors, Alan Rickman.

The Elmo Nüganen film “1944” hit Estonian cinema theaters on the 20th of  February 2015. The films’ first week achieved 44 879 admissions, the highest admission record of any Estonian film ever premiered in Estonia.

ZAGREB: The ZagrebDox festival, which ran from 22 February to 1 March 2015, has announced its winners for this year.

PRAGUE: The 15th edition of East European Forum will take place in Prague within the 4th East Doc Platform from 2 to 8 March 2015.

This year, the largest film festival in Lithuania “Kino Pavasaris” will celebrate its 20th anniversary both inside and outside movie theatres. Fans of cinema will be able to see the most important new films and meet their creators during the festival, which will span two weeks starting March 19th, and take place in 5 Lithuanian cities.

JIHLAVA: Applications deadline for the 4th Emerging Producers (28 October-1 November 2015) is 30 April 2015. The project will take place during the 19th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.
