BRATISLAVA: Karel Janák´s thriller Intimate Enemy / Dôverný nepriateľ will screen at the 5th Slovak Film Week, the showcase of domestic production organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy in Bratislava from 6 to 12 April 2019. This Slovak/Czech coproduction premiered at the 26th Art Film Fest Košice in June 2018.

BRATISLAVA: Ladislav Kaboš´s documentary The Band / Kapela will screen at the 5th Slovak Film Week, the showcase of domestic production organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy in Bratislava from 6 to 12 April 2019. This is a follow-up to the popular documentary All My Children / Všetky moje deti by Ladislav Kaboš, which was released at the 13th Cinematik IFF in 2018.

BRATISLAVA: Laco Halama’s biopic Dubček will screen at the 5th Slovak Film Week, the showcase of domestic production organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy in Bratislava from 6 to 12 April 2019. This is the first film about Alexander Dubček, who was at the forefront of many important social changes at the end of the 1960s.

BRATISLAVA: The Interpreter / Tlmočník was awarded best feature film at the Sun in a Net Awards 2019, organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy. Martin Šulík´s road movie received six prizes out of 12 nominations, including best director and best scriptwriter.

BRATISLAVA: Martin Šulík´s feature film The Interpreter / Tlmočník will screen at the Slovak Film Week, a showcase for domestic production organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy from 6 to 12 April 2019. This Slovak/Czech/Austrian coproduction had its world premiere at the 68th Berlinale in 2018 and was later screened at 17 festivals worldwide, receiving several awards.

BRATISLAVA: The 5th Slovak Film Week, the annual showcase of domestic film production, will start in Bratislava the day after the Sun in a Net Awards ceremonyThe event, held from 6 to 12 April 2019 at the Lumiere cinema, will consist of more then 30 Slovak films (feature, documentaries, animated and short films), including the winners of the Sun in a Net Awards, which are going to be screened in another 12 cities across Slovakia.

BRATISLAVA: Eleven Slovak projects in different stages of production were presented at a works-in-progress showcase during the Industry Days (25-26 March 2019) of the 26th International Film Clubs Febiobest Festival in Bratislava, Slovakia.

BRATISLAVA: Toman and The Interpreter / Tlmočník received the highest number of nominations for the 9th annual Sun in a Net awards, organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy.

PRAGUE: The Hungarian/French coproduction Mr. Mare / Lidér úr directed by Lucy Tóth was awarded best film in the Heart of Europe competition section of the 26th International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest Slovakia.

BRATISLAVA: Young Slovak director Michal Blaško is currently in preproduction with his debut feature Victim. This Slovak/Czech/Ukrainian coproduction was selected for Cinéfondation’s Atelier in Cannes. Its shooting is set for the autumn of 2019.
