ZagrebDox is one of European Film Awards-qualifying festivals for documentary films.
Festival program consists of a competition program, an official program, retrospective programs and special thematic programs. The Competition Program consists of International Competition and Regional Competition. The International Competition includes films from all over the world, except those competing in the Regional Competition.
Eligible to compete in the Regional Competition are the films produced or co-produced in one of the following countries: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Kosovo, Macedonia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia and Romania.
Only films released after January 1st, 2026 can participate in the competition program. Participation in the competition section of ZagrebDox requires a first screening in Croatia (the screening must be a Croatian premiere).
Submissions deadline: December 15, 2026.
