FESTIVALS: Cyprus Film Days Announces 2017 Films

    NICOSIA: The 15th Cyrus Film Days International Festival, which takes place 27 April - 6 May 2017 in Nicosia and Limassol, will showcase 11 films from across the globe, including two films from Cyprus in the Glocal Images competition.

    The five-member international jury consists of cinematographer Phil Meheux BSC, film and theatre critic from Italy Massimo Lechi, film director and last year's winner of the Glocal Images Best Director Award Renars Vimba from Latvia, actress Evangelia Andreadaki from Greece and producer, scriptwriter and director Kyriakos Tofarides from Cyprus.

    The films are in the running for Glocal Images Best Film Award with an amount of 6,000 EUR, Glocal Images Special Jury Award with an amount of 3,000 EUROS and the Glocal Images Best Director Award of 1,000 EUROS.

    All films will be screened in their original language, with Greek and English subtitles.

    The Cyprus Film Days International Festival is organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Rialto Theatre.
