The Way Out Tops Nominations for Czech Critics’ Awards

    PRAGUE: Fourteen films are competing in eight categories at the 5th edition of the CzechCritics´ Awards organized by the Czech Critics Association.

    Petr Václav’s The Way Out has six nods and is followed by Jiří Mádl’s debut feature To See the Sea with five nominations and Andrea Sedláčková’s Fair Play, which represented the Czech Republic at the Foreign-Language Oscar nominations, with four.

    All three films are competing for Best Film award while their directors are nominated for Best Director and Best Screenwriter awards.

    The ceremony will take place in Prague´s Archa Theatre on 24 January and it will be broadcast by Czech TV 2.
