credit: Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNASRIGA: Daydreaming So Vividly About Our Spanish Holidays by Christian Avilés (Spain) was awarded the Bronze Anna Grand Prix at the 28th Rīga International Short Film Festival 2Annas, which was held 5 – 11 April 2024.
The Latvian animated film Gruzis by Ilze Ance Kazaka received the award for best film in the Baltic Short Film Competition.
More than 100 films from 25 countries were screened at the festival.
The 2Annas Forum: In the Maze of Consciousness focused on the themes of mind, memory, and the subconscious, and it included various events such as a discussion around AI as well as the presentation “Navigating the Short Film Industry: Talent Building Opportunities”.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
